I was simply looking for a way to include the basic headers and hide the extended ones (like Outlook does, for example). This add-on does the trick, and provides many additional options as well.

This is an excellent product which does everything I want. Just one minor issue is that it always shows the first telephone number as Work and the second as Home, regardless of the category given in Thunderbird.

In the 21st century it should not be necessary to print emails, but yet, this doesn't seem to be known by public authorities, administrations and superiors: far too often do they request printed emails. I only wish they would have to chop down the trees by their own bare hands to get the paper for this. ;)
Thanks to this tool, you can minimize the waste of paper!
I vaguely remember that it was possible to choose which headers should be printed and which should not be printed at all. Either this was another tool, and I am sorry if I confuse it, or this option has been removed, and if so, I would like to ask you to include this option (again).

Works as described, giving more control to the usually awkward printing layout of e-mails. Can save you a lot of time if you often copy the text to a word processor for adjustments and print your e-mails from there.

Disapointing. The date is a pretty important field yet all thats offered is the date of printout not the date received or date received header. Makes plugin useless if this is important and not in the text. (vers 1.2.4)
You could print all the headers - no way to selectively choose just one header, eg the date header which would also have done the trick. Printing all the headers is way to verbose for me, so again I would say a tool that because it is badly thought out ends up as useless.

This extension exists since long time and nobody ever asked me about such a feature, that's why I never thought about it. Anyway I understand that it can be a useful information to have in the print and so I will try to add this feature in future versions.
The "TEST item in the menu shouldn't be there, it was just a try...I apologise for that!Anyway there is no side effect about that. It's fixed in 1.2.2 version, pending for approvation.
Why would anyone want to print the headers by default. This is just a stupid TB default? Thanks for fixing it. Question - once I set my preferences, can I disable the PrintingTools extension, then re-enable it only if I want to make a change?
